Boots OSMOS 12 WHITE BLACK

The OSMOS 12 has a unique sole is built with a blend of 20% carbon fiber and 80% composite plus a 100% carbon insert in the forefoot area. Its tightening system consists of a single BOA and a Velcro strap for a precise adjustment. OSMOS 12 has the same level of breathability as the OSMOS15. Combined with Time pedals and cleats, the bioposition is about 22,5mm which allows maximum efficiency from this combination of products.

When comfort and performance meet

Since the beginning, TIME's longstanding mission has been to: offer products that combine comfort and performance for the modern cyclist. The ideal cycling shoe is adapted to the human body. Thus, we developed the last, the inner sole, the materials, and the technologies for the very specific movement of pedaling. The result yields the most comfortable and performance-oriented footwear in the world.

Comfort

Because footwear is the primary point of contact between the cyclist and forward momentum, the shoe must feel comfortable and supportive in order to ensure proper pedaling efficiency. TIME has worked on three areas to ensure a cyclist’s supreme comfort: the last, the inner sole, and the materials.

Last and upper structure

Every foot is unique, and we wanted to challenge ourselves to exceed the comfort and performance expectations of all cyclists. So we took this opportunity to propose something different. Thanks to our research and development center in Montebelluna, as well as our vast experience in footwear development, we devoted years to identifying the ideal shoe’s form to be, adapted for high-performance cycling.

Inner sole structure, Sensor 2 system

The cycling footwear market offers many solutions that revolve principally around stiffness. However, we prioritize our focus on the importance of fit. Our goal was to maintain uncompromised rigidity while also limiting muscular fatigue. We use a specifically designed foam material to deliver a long--lasting damping effect. This foam and the footbed design comprise the Sensor 2 system. This interface is especially active in the metatarsal area of the foot in order to limit the amount of vibrations to which feet are subjected during pedaling.

The Sensor 2+ inner sole is specific to the OSMOS 15 shoes. We added high-density EVA inserts in the metatarsal zone, in order to optimize power transfer. This sole is more rigid than the OSMOS 10’s and OSMOS 12’s soles, which are more finely tuned for comfort.

Upper materials

We utilize a range of materials to craft a supportive upper structure that offers exceptional breathability, impeccable durability, and an overall lightweight shoe.

Performance

For TIME footwear, comfort and performance are inseparable. Our goal for our shoes is to maintain uncompromised rigidity while limiting muscular fatigue. TIME provides a unique offering in the form of a three-product system: the shoe, the cleat, and the pedal. By developing each piece od the system as a whole, TIME is able to provide cyclists whith an unmatched pedaling experience. Those cyclists opting for one piece of the three-part system will still reap instantly realized performance benefits.

Outsoles

We designed each out sole with performance and comfort in mind. From the full carbon version found on the OSMOS 15 to the carbon and composite versions of other models, each outsole provides a balanced solution in termes of weight stiffness and comfort.

Osmos 15 - 100% CARBON

Osmos 12 - COMPOSITE WITH 20% CARBON FIBER and 100% CARBON INSERT

Osmos 10 - COMPOSITE WITH 20% CARBON FIBER

Minimal bioposition with TIME's cleats, pedals and shoes association

Bioposition refers to the distance between the outsole and the pedal spindle. A minimal bioposition improves pedaling efficiency and power transfer. With the combination

of TIME’s cleat, pedal, and shoe, TIME offers one of the most minimal biopositions on the market.
All TIME shoes are compatible with other pedals, without the need for any adaptors.

Boa® Fit System

Montebelluna expertise

We developed our shoes in the Rossignol Group’s research and development center
in Montebelluna, Italy, the global capital of sporting shoes. Our facility in Montebelluna has 40 years of experience in the athletic footwear field, of which the last 15 years have been dedicated to the use of carbon fiber as the primary material.
The strength of this facility lies in its experience and knowledge about athletic footwear
of varying disciplines. The center’s immense database possesses more than 3,000 three-dimensional foot scans of every type of athlete imaginable, which makes for a massive
data pool from which to develop modern lasts. Also, every step in the research, design, and development processes are conducted in the same place. These include biomechanical foot studies, product conception and iterative prototyping, production, follow-up testing, and product deployment. The facility’s control of each step of the creative cycle yields.
An exceptionally high level of quality control and delivers the very best products in the world.
